Marie and Louise, They was not accounted for in American Bound. There was a story told that the 'brothers' put one into a chest, to come to America. I am just wondering if it is Louise and Marie that was in the chest? When they came with the parents and sister and two brothers in secret?

Records that I have aquired: A LDS of Christening, and leaving of Germany. Des Moines Co., Iowa: death Cert., Probates, Real Estate. Newspaper Obituary.

When Carl died, Louis handled being executor of his belongings. Louis was more into understanding of the English language at this time. The family on my side told me, "The fathers would only speak German. The children could understand, but the grandchildren where unable to." They did not speak to much about Prussia where they came from.

I know the distribution of the proceeds of the will of Carl. That his son Friedrich did recieved. But to know if he came and went back I do not have a clue so far 5/21/2006.

At the time of Carl's death, in the death book. Carl was a widower. So his wife died earlier.
Mrs Mary Timmerman. She was 57 years old when she died.Mary died Dec 25, 1891

I located the area where Carl is buried. He has no standing stone or memorial of him. But registered with the cemetery. He is buried in Aspen Grove in Burlington, Iowa. Block 187, lot 8. Away from the road on the otherside of W.J. Thompson, who died Feb. 20, 1894, and on the road side from F.H. Pierson 1866-1908.
